While Billy of Antiseptic Fashion was in town we spent a few hours shooting with the hotness that is Viva Van Story. We landed this super rad location. This house was filled with antiques and amazing grandma wallpaper! Every room was a different story. We did at least 5 sets there. Here's a taste of what happened that night.

I haven't updated in a long time, but here it goes! Life has been very chaotic the past few months, but in a great way! I thrive off of chaos! I have been performing a lot more Burlesque these days. My favorite show lately was two weeks ago when I performed at the philly Tattooed Kingpin Convention. I did my blood bath routine based off of Elizabeth Bathory, and then Crash and I did an act where I strip her down so she can do fire eating and eventually body suspension. It was a great show! I had the chance to meet such amazing people. My favorite encounters were Bella Vendetta, Penguin boy, Enigma and John Durante (amazing piercer and scarification artist) ! It was a very bloody sexy time.

While on my trip I shot some custom pieces with Collective Chaos Design, who have become one of my all time favorite designers in the industry. We were covered in lube leaving everything slippery and shiny in the room. Photos coming soon! They're new line is to die for!!

I'm spending most of April preparing for my trips in May, working out, and getting images back from a handful of awesome shoots. May will begin with my trip to Vegas and LA with Crash on the 12th. Fly back into NY on the 20th, taking a train the 21st to Toronto where I will be walking the runway in the Torture Garden event. I will have a few days at home until May 29th when I'm off to D.C. to perform at the Palace of Wonders. Sounds like a lot, but it will be so much fun. Can't wait to meet some incredible people with such great talents!

I'm working on a few different projects right now, not to be released until they are ready. I met with my web designer recently. We are trying to plan a good homepage while working on the rest of the site. My blog will most likely move to my website until the actual launch. Also, until then, I will be working on an ETSY store so all of you who have been requesting prints can buy them there, among other goodies of mine. Keep checking back for the updated Marlo Marquise store.

If you want to check my burlesque acts, I will be in an ongoing show at Bleecker Street Theatre every Friday at 10:30 for the next couple months with the cast of "Sextacular, Sextacular!". It is a re-imagining of the cabaret shows from turn-of-the-century France, but with a modern New York City rock n roll edge. Featuring dazzling light & fire shows, astounding aerial acts, dynamic acrobatics, tantalizing burlesque performances, glam rock cabaret, punk rock cancan girls, and rocket-fueled glam rock band STARBOLT 9 as the house band.

New year, new happenings.

Happy New Year everyone! Here's to the first blog entry in 2010! I've been feeling from everyone (myself included) that this is going to be an amazing year. Good things are already happening! It seems that everyone is kicking off the new year in high gear! May 2010 be a year of great ambition and much success! I have almost too many projects to focus on at the moment!

So far January is almost all booked up for me and dates in February are being taken quickly! That's a good sign right? ALSO, today is my birthday, January 4th. It's the first birthday in a long time where I actually feel different. Something has changed in me, I feel as if I have officially hit adulthood. No more lolligagging. I've started to work with some really amazing people, and started shooting sets for my site. My site will be a top priority this year. By this time next year, I hope to be running my own Burlesque show, posting on my paysite regularly, and traveling a lot more.

New Years resolutions: 1.) stay positive and don't let other peoples negativity get to me 2.)workout way more than I do now 3.) take each project at a time so that they get accomplished 4.)get at least one more stamp in my passport 5.) make no excuses for myself!

December: a time to relax and reflect

I have decided to take most of December off from modeling and Burlesque. The past couple months have been extremely busy, but very satisfying. I've managed to make great connections and meet some amazing people with incredible talent. I am so thankful to be doing all the things I enjoy. I really think it's going to be a great new year. Nothing but positive energy flowing. 2010 will be my busiest and most enjoyable year thus far, I feel. I'm so excited and more ambitious than ever. February hopefully brings me to LA and Las Vegas with a few awesome shoots already in the works! It will be my first time in LA! Can't wait! Don't forget, my zivity.com debut is in the works! First set that will be launched was done with my dear friends of RedRum Collaboration. For Burlesque, you can see me at my next show on January 9th at Union Hall in Brooklyn, NY.

This morning I found this video on the corsetry artist Mr. Pearl. It's a short, cute clip that some of you might enjoy. I only dream of owning one of his pieces one day. I've been a fan for a few years now, so I love even the smallest bit of press on his work. Completely beautiful.

Full speed ahead!

I feel as though I'm at a crossroads right now, where I've gotten to a specific point in my passions. Right now, I could either just stay where I am, or I could work harder than ever to achieve the highest success I can manage. I think I'll go with the second choice! It has been exhausting, especially still having a day job while shooting a few times per week, traveling, and attending different Burlesque events.

As of right now, I am mainly focusing on making content for my future paysite. My other big project is that I am working on producing my very own Burlesque variety show with my partner in crime Madame Rosebud. We have been very busy picking out specific performers we love, and meeting with different important people in the industry who would like to be a part of it. I look back at everything I have done the past year, and my accomplishments, and it just isn't good enough for me unless something extremely substantial happens. Call me crazy, but I just want it all.

My paysite is my baby right now. With membership, I will offer diverse sets of photos that will be exclusively for my site, makeup/hair tutorials, behind the scenes pics and video, striptease video along with a variety of fetish videos, live web cam, journal, scrap book, information on any top secret projects to look forward to, a special section of sets with me and the ladies behind the lens/ design in the industry, and much more! While the site is being worked on, I will use this blog, and zivity.com (when my debut goes live) as a practice run. So here are the events I will most likely be attending this weekend for Halloween, starting tonight!

First up, I will be attending the Vampire Freaks Halloween bash tonight with famous goth photographer, Candace of CandyLust.org. Come out and say hi! We won't bite....only nibble!

Friday, I will be going to a private dinner party, hosted by my lovely Burlesque beauty Madame Rosebud. I LOVE food! Especially when someone else is doing the cooking! It will be a real spooky treat! An entire Fall menu! MMM!

Next on the list for the most important evening, Saturday Halloween. I will start the night off by seeing a Burlesque show where again Madame Rosebud will be performing (I can't get enough of her!), and then I might be off to the infamous Rated-X panty party!

Can't wait to see nekkid people done up for Halloween! This is my favorite holiday! Hopefully I will be able to post a few snapshots from the parties. Until then, Happy Halloween boys and ghouls!

This weekend was a very tiring one! Friday night I shot a video project with Vaunt design, wearing her newest creation. Saturday I headed off to philly to spend a whole weekend with RedRum Collaboration, one of my favorite duos in the world!! In two days we shot four sets that will exclusively be on zivity.com and marlomarquise.com (when my site actually goes up). Collective Chaos design came over and dressed me in their naughty nurse collar, and nothing else! I also got to shoot one of their new pieces, what a hot little lacey number! Can't wait to show everyone all the work.

It was such a great weekend spending time with some of my favorite people in the business, and people who have become dear friends of mine. I also made a new friend, Miss PXE. She is just the most darling thing! We shot a special set together for both sites, think fetish circus lion taming!! Stay tuned for those!

First thing's first, October is my favorite month, Autumn my favorite season, and Halloween my favorite holiday! This month is full of really great things. I will be debuting my new burlesque act titled "Blood Countess", come to the show Oct. 12th at the Slipper Room to see what exactly that entails! Also, October 16th I will be shooting a video project with Vaunt Designs, very interesting, followed by driving to PA the next day and shooting the whole weekend with RedRum and Collective Chaos design. You guessed it! I'm attending Fetish Weekend in Montreal next weekend!! Food for thought

For some reason today, everything is food related. I want to introduce you to my new favorite treat, Bubbies Mochi ice cream. Not only are these things adorable, but they are damn delicious! Nibbling on these is a very good way to keep cool during these hot and sticky days of August.

Now, all this talk about tasty little delights, makes me wonder about food fetish. You never really hear about that one. Most people just talk about the more glamorous fetishes involving other skins (latex, corsets, stockings,etc.), but never other sins! It's a very interesting thought, mixing two sins together, sex and the indulgence of food. For example, the fetish involving getting a pie in the face is one of the most interesting ones I have heard of. Just google food fetish, and some very interesting images will pop up making you giggle the whole time you browse.

My favorite Blogs....

Hello everyone! It's been a very long time, I know! I had a very busy schedule this summer, and in the middle of it, I got shingles from stress and exhaustion. Shingles are the same virus as chicken pox, but they have a tendency to come out when one is under a lot of stress. Because of this, I had to take a break for a while, and reschedule a few things, but I'm all better now!

This weekend brings me to Philly to shoot with Kencredible. I'm so thrilled to work with him! I love his work, and all of his crazy ideas. It will be quite the adventure, I'm sure. After that shoot, and the VIP Burlesque and Pinup shootout on the 29th, I will be taking September off to work on a new Burlesque act that will come out just in time for Halloween. Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I wanted to create something special for it. It's top secret! You will all have to come to my shows in October to see what it is.

I wanted to dedicate most of this entry to other blogs that I frequent, and things of the like. My first choice would be the outrageously adventurous, funny, and sexy blog called "Polo is my Life". This blog is run by my two favorite people in the Burlesque biz, Madame Rosebud, and her adorably dapper accomplice, Bastard Keith. These two are quite the pair, on stage, and off stage! They also happen to be two very good friends of mine. I would have to say the lovely lude, nude Rosebud is my favorite performer. What makes her special, is that her routines have a tendency to be highly sexual, in all different ways. She is the only woman I see who performs extremely sexually charged acts, and still looks classy and elegant while doing so. Please do yourself a favor and see this ravishing young lady perform. Madame Rosebud, the permanent hard-on of burlesque.

Bastard Keith is the best Burlesque host right now. His stage persona is full of modern rage, and a classic vaudevillian attitude and presence. Here's what I think; a show could have the best lineup in the world, but without a great host to support it, it could be the worst show you have ever seen. Keith with his crass story telling, surprisingly incredible singing voice (that never skips a beat), complete confidence, and awesome ability to mad lib, could be a show all in it's own. He loves introducing his favorite performers, he loves his audience, and he loves what he does with a fiery passion. This is what makes one of the best hosts of our time in "Neo-Burlesque".

Onto the next. whenever I'm looking for new makeup tips, or ideas, I visit the blog of Model/makeup artist/makeup chemist, and fashionista Doe Deere. She created a makeup line called Lime Crime Makeup. Lime Crime is all about affordable, amazingly vibrant eyeshadow pigments. My last recommendation, would be the work of Christine Kessler. She is an amazing Fetish photographer. It's so lovely to see different types of fetish through a woman's lens. It seems to me that a lot of fetish photographers are male, which is a little boring after a while. Christine really knows the best angle, the best lighting, and the best environment for a modern erotic image. Her take on the fetish world seems so natural the way she speaks of it. I really cannot get enough of her work, it's addicting! Please take a look at her photography, it's true eye candy.

Summer breeze...

It's 9:16 on Wednesday night. I'm listening to my friend Lady D's (of Anti-Mag) radio show while working out my schedule. Everyone should listen to it, every Wednesday at 8p, she's amazing. She also has the sexiest radio voice I have ever heard! I'm deciding to take a break from it so I can give a verbal sneak peak of what I'm going to be up to for the summer. Many exciting projects, with some very lovely, and talented people! The photo to the left is by Insuh Yoon. Insuh recently posted more photos from this set, which made me go back and look through them. I really love this image, and I am very proud of it. I really enjoy working in the buff, it's a challenge, because the only thing you have to work with is your body. No clothes, no props. I love it.

First off, SMack! 13th Anniversary party was a blast. I had the pleasure of sharing the runway with some amazing ladies I already knew, and some new ones I got to meet for the first time. I met Miss Raquel Reed who is a complete darling, Fetish model Nicotine, who I absolutely adore, and the wonderful Jade Vixen. On Friday morning I had to shoot over to my favorite hair salon (Blackstones) and get a dye job, go to my day job, and then swing over to Xris SMack's place for my latex fitting. All of this while being sick and sniffling my way through!

After a good nights rest, I had to be at Club Element Saturday at 5pm. The actual runway show went great. I got to wear a "HEL" dress in red by Ego Assassin latex. They make the most incredible pieces!! Fit like a glove! A real naughty one ;) Along with some 8" heels. To the right, Miss Sharon TK in Baby Loves Latex (I love me some Sharon!). Sunday was full of relaxation, raspberry lemonade, and the dog park with my pup. One extra thing, my man brought to my attention that morning was my little face in the Village Voice for the Vampire Freaks flyer. I still need to buy that dress I was wearing....it's strappy, and to die for!

I realized today that I need to stop being such an old-school grandma, and get some form of a blackberry or iphone to keep up with my schedule. I started agreeing to all these projects, and all of a sudden, I'm almost in over my head. I'm so excited though! I am finally reaching my goal to work with more designers. On the menu for the next two months will be Tatterdemalion Designs, Karon Von Oppen, Housewives on Fire, Victoria Velvet, Cameo Intimates, and Berit New York. All definite, and all amazing! So far my summer includes Ted D'ottavio, Kencredible, possibly shooting with Photos by Vance (mmm latex!), and a special project with RedRum Collaboration. Redrum and I have decided to shoot multiple sets when I visit for zivity.com and a possible pay site for me in the future. I'm so excited to be working with them again. They are so much fun, I can't wait! Also, a special shoot with Marcos Rivera called Sexy Photo Trip! Basically, Marcos and his crew will kidnap me for a whole day and film the photo shoot, and do mini interviews. I'm still working on a date, but it's going to be a wild and sexy time! August 22nd, I am a booked model for Tarilyn Quinn's VIP Pinup/Burlesque shootout. Should be chaotic as usual!

My burlesque seems to be on the back burner, along with my art. I will be performing in D.C. on July 10th, but I have nothing booked besides that. I'm thinking of modeling a ton this summer, and then I have some new performance ideas for the fall. Well, that was long-winded! Stay tuned! The beautiful weather today put me and I'm sure everyone else in NYC in a wonderful mood. This weekend, Nine Inch Nails and Jane's Addiction at Jones Beach to look forward to!! God I love the 90's....

First entry, and naughty news....

So today while sitting home with allergies, or some sort of sickness, I decided to get this baby going. First off, I would like to say that for about a month now, I have considered quitting modeling and performing. It has been around one year since I started doing all of this. I was thinking that I should be further in my career than I am after one year. Then I came to my senses and realized how much I would like to take over the world. I'm a perfectionist, and my biggest critic.

The fact that I felt like quitting makes me want to work even harder. I have many exciting projects coming up in the next couple of months. It is going to be a very busy summer! I'm going to be working with a handful of photographers I've been wanting to work with since I started modeling, new designers are on the schedule, and I am also working on my own jewelery line, possible name will be "Marquise Rosaries", not sure about that one yet! Also, within the next year, I will be throwing around the idea of my very own website. So please, keep checking back, and read the blog for the latest.
